A PRACTICAL AUDIO GUIDE
Music Audio Editor: Describe Your Cuts, Fades and Volume Changes
For a music preview, a gentle fade or a shorter excerpt, you can describe the result you want. GPTAudioEditor changes your existing recording and lets you compare each version.
Upload audio and start editingMake an excerpt with exact boundaries
Use timestamps when you want a specific chorus, intro or outro. For example, “keep 0:45 to 1:15 and fade out the final 3 seconds.” If you select a range in the waveform, say whether to keep or remove it. The assistant does not infer bar lines or beat-perfect cuts from the waveform.
Be careful with voice-oriented processing
A prompt for a clearer voice can remove low-frequency content and change the balance of a song. For music, describe a smaller change such as “slightly reduce the bass” or “add a gentle fade without changing the tone.” Noise reduction can also remove quiet instruments or reverberation.
Know what speed changes do
The current speed operation changes both duration and pitch. Ask for a specific rate only when that effect is acceptable. Time-stretching that preserves pitch, key detection and automatic beat matching are not available in this version.
Editing is different from generating a song
The product does not compose new music, replace a singer, isolate vocals or split instruments into stems. It also does not give you rights to use a recording you do not own. Upload audio you are allowed to edit, and check the result against your intended use.
A prompt to try
Keep 0:15 to 0:45. Add a half-second fade in and a 3-second fade out. Keep the tone and pitch unchanged.
The excerpt should be 30 seconds long. Check whether the fades land naturally against the music.
Common questions
Can it remove the singer?
No. Vocal isolation and stem separation are not supported.
Can it change tempo without changing pitch?
No. The available speed effect changes pitch too. The assistant should explain that before making an incompatible edit.
